Occasionally, Microsoft will decide that there is a mystical distinction between versions of its operating system, creating a scenario where a new version is the only one with the latest DirectX - what you might call "forward compatibility." But compatibility going the other way is something you don't consider on PCs. The only time I've ever had it become a serious problem was when my computer was now too good. And even that can be ameliorated.
Google Glass
Well I picked up my Google Glass last Sunday and I’ve had a few days to play around with it now. Obviously I’m not super familiar with them yet but I wanted to get my first impressions of them up. I immagine as time goes on and I have the opportunity to use it in different ways, I’ll be sharing more thoughts about Glass.
Strip Search!
Part 1 of the epic two part season finale is up today!
Glasshole
We've been living with Glass since my co-conspirator returned with it on his brow, and simply by being present it has a warping effect on the social fabric.
Aftermath
For as long as I've been actively watching industry events unfold, I don't think I've we've ever seen anything quite like what happened at Sony's press conference. It was a conflagration that consumed every cubic centimeter of Microsoft's rhetorical oxygen. The damage was so absolute that to speak publicly in defense of the device known as the "Xbone" is to be made a fool. I would avoid the punch at Microsoft's afterparty.
Compulsory
Gunpoint is just... it's very, very well made. And it's very well written also, which is just showing off because the same person did both things. Nobody likes people who are good at everything - nobody likes having people perforate the Meritocracy like this. We like it the other way, where everyone has crazy merit just inherently, wholly independent of performance, output, or attitude. So when somebody strolls in and starts firing divine beams of concentrated potential it's just... I don't know. Don't do that, I guess. It's rude.
"fan" mail
I just got the best fan mail ever and I had to share it:

Our own Galabriel was selected for inclusion into the Google Explorers Club, which might not actually be its name. I suspect there is a cool patch for your backpack, like the one you get for defeating a Gym Leader. What it means is that he was given the opportunity to travel on his own dime, and then purchase one at exorbitant cost which he'll never truly own. It's absolutely vital that he do so, though: I don't want to harangue people I see wearing them in public, I want to harangue him about them while I'm haranguing him about something else. Plus, and here's where they become a capital investment, these fucking things promise to be a strip generating engine.
Extra Credits: Games For Good
It is our great pleasure to know the crew from Extra Credits, and I have suggested to James over there that I am at his service; he's just given me an opportunity to prove it.
Marvel Heroes
I’m probably not going to play anymore Marvel Heroes. After the prologue I arrived at the Avengers headquarters and immediately saw tons of the free heroes as well as a few of the purchasable ones. It looks sort of silly to see five hawkeyes running around but I figured this was the hub where you buy shit, get outfitted and group up so it’s not a big deal. Tycho and I formed a party and jumped into the first zone. Now I was imagining that it would be an instance that Tycho and I would share and we would beat up some dudes together similar to Diablo or torchlight. That was not the case.
Marvelous Heroism
I had installed Marvel Heroes during a Beta Weekend, and it had been continually updated, so when it actually came out at ten yesterday morning I was in a very good position to play it.
