Like I was saying yesterday, I had the chance to write a whole adventure for Demo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked. It's called "A Golden Opportunity," and involves Acquisitions Incorporated's Omin Dran - um, that's me - utilizing the knowledge Jerry Holkins has about old school D&D lore to craft the most insane and yet also lore accurate Get Rich Quick Scheme the multiverse has ever seen. Let me go into it a bit. I mean, if you can endure it.
The original Demeo was focused on delivering OG dungeon crawl vibes, and did so with aplomb. Once they got the D&D license, they dropped a mix of spelunkery and Module-style adventures broken into regional storylines. Because I wanted to be a light touch on the team, I wrote an adventure that takes place either by itself or in parallel with the first act. But the story must have awakened something in them, something as fierce as love, because they just continuously overdelivered on anything I asked for. What that means in practice is that you can Go Home Again - seeing the places you've been changed and made new. They didn't have to do any of that! My best purpose as a collaborator is to make their job more fun. Something like that must have happened.
It's a completely free update to Battlemarked, so if you were already in please check it out - and if you weren't, please grab a copy and then check it out. I personally like playing it in VR, but all my testing on the new module was just on the regular client so that's no issue if you're averse or physically unable to traverse the Virtual Realmz. I love the idea of running an adventure for people I've never met - there are things you can only get at the table, to be sure, but I did find a solution (at great expense).
(CW)TB out.
