I was overjoyed to have them play at PAX last year, and they appeared to be overjoyed to play there, and also the people listening appeared (if not overjoyed, then) at least happy, so it was a success pretty much all around.

We wrapped up Batman yesterday, and it was unrelenting in its quality. I hope you already know that for yourself - that you have maneuvered its perils and triumphs firsthand, and are aware that developer Rocksteady has delivered a cornerstone experience that defines what the medium was about in the year of our Lord two-thousand and nine.

Dissidia is actually really interesting, and it didn't particularly need to be: Final Fantasy's luxurious familiarity still retains its alchemical power. They could have gotten away with less, and they didn't. One of many savory demos recently released, you could be forgiven for missing it. Go now, and sin no more.

Another of my projects that got announced last week was the cover to a new Dungeons and Dragons book. The book is  called the players strategy guide and from what I hear it's designed to help you build a solid character. There's some fuzzy pictures from the presentation at Gencon, but here's a better look at the front half of the wrap around cover I did.

We spent some time with Wolfenstein - which I can't help but pronounce voolfenshteen - cataloguing a portion of our conversation in strip form. It has not managed to burrow through our chests and and plant its shivering ova in our soft tissue, at least not yet - I haven't been able to figure out if the new Voolfenshteen is a reliquary packed with outmoded shooter tropes or an act of intentional deference to the classics.

Pretty much what it says up there.  If you're thinking of coming to the entire show, think quickly, and grab your tickets.  We expect those to sell out today.  We'll have a limited number of day passes available, but we can't guarantee there'll be any left when you get there.

As proponents of interactive electronic entertainment, we're accustomed to troglodytic salvos from all corners re: the fiendish nature of this hobby. I feel like troglodytic is a savvy choice, but I may be in the minority; I would also accept backwoods, and bonus points could certainly be earned for uncorking something like "benighted" or "unlettered."

You might not have heard, but we recently switched publishers. We are now apart of the Random House family and our new books from them should start hitting early next year. They also happen to be publishing a new comic series based on Stephen King and Peter Straub's "The Talisman". They approached me about creating an alternate cover for the comic and I let them know it sounded cool but I'd never read the original book. I grabbed it for my Kindle iPhone app and discovered two things. First, the Kindle iPhone app is awesome and I love reading books on it. Second, The Talisman is rad. 

The fact that his handle is "Ladylike Raul" shifts that entire conversation deep into Salvador Dali territory.  

The Think B4 You Speak campaign is basically incoherent, and operates from some deep misconceptions about how and why people communicate. These assertions have been collated and placed sequentially in today's comic offering.

Reader Christoph interpreted the first page of Automata in a very interesting way, with a custom soundtrack - and he just sent over his version of the entire project.  Exquisite.
