I think it’s possible that someone could have a good time with Wolverine. Personally I was bored after a few hours. Eventually I was skipping cut scenes to get to the game and then I realised I wished I could skip the game parts too. Personally I have found Onimusha to be much more entertaining. Both games are combat focused but Onimusha actually feels interesting and fresh whereas Wolverine feels like they are still just ripping off the combat from Arkham which was fun but was also almost 20 years ago. It was fine in Spider-Man where swinging around New York was actually the game but Wolverine feels like a massive downgrade to me.
The game is incredibly linear and at one point not only were the ledges I was supposed to climb painted with white paint but they were also highlighted by a white circle in the game’s UI. There was no place else I could go. All the characters look like they are being played by background extras who have no business putting on a super hero suit. I could literally feel the corners of my mouth turning down into a frown the longer I played until eventually I just shut it off.
Before the game launched I was doing some doodling and came up with a Wolverine sketch that I liked. Just for fun I inked and colored it. I posted the finished version over on my Bluesky but wanted to share it here as well:

I’ve seen a list of the auction items so far and it is shaping up to be a great year. We have tons of Lorcana offerings from Ravensburger, a huge collection of Magic the Gathering goodies from WOTC, lots of custom made crafts and original art. I will be donating a number of pieces this year including some of my newly made traditional artwork done with pens and markers like this Pikachu!
